Cancellations, Deposits, Refunds & Tolls
Last updated July 30, 2026. This plain-language summary does not replace your confirmed checkout or signed rental agreement.
Reservation Approval
A selected car or submitted rental request is not final until Rent Me CT confirms the vehicle, dates and times, identity and age eligibility, required license and insurance documents, payment, deposit, and any required staff review. The customer portal and calendar show the operational status of a Supabase rental.
Cancellations and Schedule Changes
Contact Rent Me CT before pickup at 860-558-6031 to request cancellation or a schedule change. Any refund or credit depends on the timing, confirmed reservation, payment record, provider terms, and signed rental agreement. We will show or communicate the specific amount before submitting a discretionary refund.
Extensions and Vehicle Exchanges
An extension or exchange must be requested through the signed-in customer portal and approved by Rent Me CT. Approval may require new insurance for the added dates, a vehicle availability check, and additional payment. The current car may continue only when it is available; otherwise Rent Me CT may offer an available replacement. A request alone does not extend the return deadline.
Security Deposit and Return Review
The deposit remains held until the vehicle is physically returned and Rent Me CT completes the applicable mileage, fuel, cleanliness, smoke or odor, condition, toll, ticket, late-return, and damage review. Rent Me CT can submit a full or specific partial refund through Stripe. Stripe and the customer's bank control how long a submitted refund takes to appear.
Tolls and Tickets
Renters are responsible for tolls and violations incurred during their rental when authorized by the signed agreement and law. TollSpot transactions are matched using the vehicle plate or identifier, transaction time, and the rental and customer assigned to that car. The charge should appear on the corresponding rental record. Contact us promptly if a toll is not yours; we will review the vehicle, rental window, and source record before resolving the dispute.
Late and Overdue Vehicles
Return the vehicle by the confirmed date and time unless an extension is approved. A turnaround buffer protects the next booking, but it is not permission to keep the car past the agreed return. If the vehicle has not been physically returned, an overdue or return lock may keep the car unavailable to another customer. Additional-day, late, recovery, towing, storage, transportation, and administrative charges may apply only as stated in the signed agreement and permitted by law.
Other Rental Charges
Excess mileage, fuel differences, abnormal cleaning, smoke remediation, damage, tickets, tolls, late return, and related charges may be assessed under the signed agreement. Rent Me CT should identify the rental and reason for an added charge. Customers can contact us to request supporting details or report an incorrect assignment.
Chargebacks and Billing Questions
Contact Rent Me CT first with a billing or refund question so we can review the Stripe payment, rental ledger, and supporting records. Nothing here limits a right to dispute a charge with a card issuer, but knowingly filing a false dispute or chargeback may violate the signed agreement or law.
