On the public website, customers may enter pickup dates, return dates, pickup times, return times, and vehicle choices to start a reservation. If you continue into checkout or the customer portal, Rent Me CT or its service providers may collect your name, email, phone number, address, driver license information, insurance proof, rental agreement details, payment status, rental dates, vehicle selection, and messages about your rental.
The public website stores pending booking details in your browser's local storage so your selected dates, times, and vehicle can carry into the booking flow. The reviewed frontend does not set its own first-party advertising cookies with document.cookie. Your browser may still cache pages, images, scripts, and API responses, and third-party services may use their own cookies, storage, or logs under their own policies.
We use information to respond to inquiries, process reservations, verify eligibility, review license and insurance documents, manage payments and deposits, communicate pickup and return details, send rental reminders when enabled, prevent fraud, protect vehicles, enforce rental agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
This site and related rental systems may use Wheelbase/Outdoorsy for reservation checkout and availability, Supabase for customer portal data and document storage, Stripe for payments and identity verification, Twilio for SMS reminders or phone verification, Google Maps for address links, and listed insurance-provider websites for optional insurance research. When you leave Rent Me CT or use a third-party checkout, that provider's terms and privacy policy apply.
Rent Me CT uses Stripe Identity to help confirm that a renter is the person shown on a government-issued identity document. Stripe may collect identity-document images, facial or selfie images, information extracted from the document such as an ID number and address, device information, advanced fraud signals, and biometric identifiers used to compare the selfie with the document photo. Stripe shares verification results with Rent Me CT and uses information to operate, secure, prevent fraud in, and improve its services according to the choices and consent presented in Stripe's verification flow.
Rent Me CT's customer portal stores the Stripe VerificationSession reference, status, mode, error code, and verification timestamps; it does not copy the raw Stripe ID or selfie images into the Rent Me CT database. Authorized Rent Me CT personnel may have access to verification information through Stripe under Stripe's controls. Learn more in Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Contact Rent Me CT if you need to request deletion or redaction of verification data, revoke consent, or ask whether an alternative verification method is available. Stripe may also require a separate request for information it controls or retains under applicable law.
We share information only as needed to operate rentals, process payments, verify documents, send communications, provide customer support, comply with law, enforce agreements, protect our vehicles, and work with service providers. Rent Me CT does not sell personal information through the reviewed public website.
You can clear this website's local storage in your browser settings. You can contact Rent Me CT to request help with account information, rental records, or communication preferences. Some rental records must be retained for legal, tax, fraud prevention, safety, insurance, and agreement-enforcement reasons.
