Last updated July 30, 2026. This policy explains what Rent Me CT collects through its website, Supabase fleet and customer portal, rental operations, and related service providers.
Who We Are
Rent Me CT is operated by Ancona Enterprises, Inc., a Connecticut corporation doing business as Rent Me CT (“Rent Me CT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our mailing and rental location is 12 Holmes Circle, Farmington, Connecticut. You can call or text us at 860-558-6031 or use our contact page.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Identity and contact information: name, date of birth, email, phone number, billing or residential address, account identifiers, and authentication status.
Rental information: selected vehicle, dates and times, intended vehicle use, extensions, exchanges, pickup and return details, mileage, fuel, condition reports, tolls, tickets, messages, support requests, and signed agreement records.
Eligibility and sensitive documents: driver-license information and images, insurance documents, Stripe Identity results, and fraud-prevention signals. Stripe may process a selfie, identity-document image, and biometric identifiers in its hosted verification flow.
Payment information: amounts, payment status, Stripe customer, payment, charge, refund, and deposit references, discounts, fees, and billing history. Stripe processes full payment-card details; Rent Me CT does not store your full card number or card security code in its database.
Vehicle and toll information: license plate, VIN or fleet identifier, TollSpot transaction details, toll location and time, and the rental and customer assigned to the vehicle at that time.
Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate location derived from IP, referrer, timestamps, service logs, security events, and pages or functions requested.
Communication preferences: email-marketing choice, transactional-SMS choice, consent language and version, timestamp, source, verification requests, and opt-out or suppression status.
How We Collect Information
We collect information when you choose dates or a car, submit a contact or account form, create or use a portal account, upload documents, sign an agreement, make a payment, request or manage an extension, return a vehicle, contact support, or change communication or privacy preferences. We also receive information from vehicles and toll systems, payment and identity providers, booking providers, insurers or coverage providers you choose, and hosting, security, and communications services.
Local Storage, Cookies & Cache
The public website stores pending booking details in your browser's local storage so your selected dates, times, and vehicle can carry into the booking flow. The reviewed frontend does not set its own first-party advertising cookies with document.cookie. The customer portal uses necessary browser storage to keep you signed in securely. Your browser may still cache pages, images, scripts, and API responses, and third-party services may use their own cookies, storage, or logs under their own policies.
Provide requested vehicle availability, accounts, reservations, extensions, exchanges, pickups, returns, and customer support.
Verify identity, age, license, insurance, payment, and rental eligibility; prevent fraud and protect customers, staff, vehicles, and systems.
Process charges, security deposits, partial or full refunds, deposit returns, tolls, tickets, taxes, fees, disputes, and accounting records.
Send requested security codes and service messages; send recurring transactional SMS only when separately authorized; send marketing email only when separately selected.
Maintain the fleet calendar, assign a toll to the car and renter responsible during the transaction window, manage late or overdue vehicles, investigate incidents, and enforce signed rental agreements.
Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website and portals; comply with law, tax, insurance, legal-process, and recordkeeping obligations.
SMS Communications & Consent
When you request a phone-verification code, Rent Me CT uses the mobile number you provide to send the requested one-time security message. Separately, you may choose through an unchecked consent box to receive recurring transactional text messages concerning bookings, payments, documents, pickup, returns, extensions, and customer support. This recurring SMS choice is optional and is not a condition of purchasing or renting a vehicle.
Message frequency varies according to your rental activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from recurring messages or HELP for assistance. We may retain the phone number, consent status, consent timestamp, consent source, disclosure version, and opt-out status to operate the program and document communication preferences.
Rent Me CT does not sell or share mobile phone information or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to service providers, including Twilio, only as necessary to transmit messages, maintain consent and suppression records, secure the service, or comply with law. Those providers may not use Rent Me CT SMS consent information for their own marketing.
We disclose information to service providers only for the business functions they perform. Current categories and providers include:
Fleet, accounts, database, and document storage: Supabase.
Payments, deposits, refunds, and identity verification: Stripe.
Phone verification and SMS delivery: Twilio.
Operational and customer email: SendGrid.
Maps and address services: Google Maps and Google Places.
Toll matching and administration: TollSpot.
Actionable staff alerts: Pushover.
Legacy or alternate booking and availability: Wheelbase/Outdoorsy.
Static website and portal hosting and delivery: GitHub Pages and its delivery infrastructure.
Optional insurance research: insurance-provider websites linked from our site. We do not control a provider you independently choose.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, insurers, financial institutions, government or law-enforcement authorities, or a successor in a merger or sale when permitted or required by law. When you leave Rent Me CT or use a third-party service, that provider's terms and privacy policy apply.
Stripe Identity Verification
Rent Me CT uses Stripe Identity to help confirm that a renter is the person shown on a government-issued identity document. Stripe may collect identity-document images, facial or selfie images, information extracted from the document such as an ID number and address, device information, advanced fraud signals, and biometric identifiers used to compare the selfie with the document photo. Stripe shares verification results with Rent Me CT and uses information to operate, secure, prevent fraud in, and improve its services according to the choices and consent presented in Stripe's verification flow.
Rent Me CT's customer portal stores the Stripe VerificationSession reference, status, mode, error code, and verification timestamps; it does not copy the raw Stripe ID or selfie images into the Rent Me CT database. Authorized Rent Me CT personnel may have access to verification information through Stripe under Stripe's controls. Learn more in Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Contact Rent Me CT if you need to request deletion or redaction of verification data, revoke consent, or ask whether an alternative verification method is available. Stripe may also require a separate request for information it controls or retains under applicable law.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate rentals, process payments, verify documents, send communications, provide customer support, comply with law, enforce agreements, protect vehicles, and work with service providers. Rent Me CT does not sell personal information for money and does not use or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising through the reviewed public website or customer portal.
Email Communications
Service emails about an account, reservation, documents, payment, extension, pickup, return, safety issue, or support request are transactional. Marketing email is optional and uses a separate unchecked choice. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message or contact us. Opting out of marketing does not stop required rental or account communications.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and for applicable legal, tax, accounting, insurance, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, agreement-enforcement, consent, and suppression-list obligations. The retention period depends on the type of record:
Browser booking data remains until it is replaced, cleared, or removed through browser settings; privacy choices retain their timestamp until replaced or cleared.
Account, rental, document, toll, return, payment, refund, and support records are retained while the account or rental is active and afterward when needed for the obligations above.
SMS and email consent and opt-out records may be retained to prove and continue honoring your communication choice.
Stripe controls retention of identity images and biometric data in its service under its policy and legal obligations. Rent Me CT stores the session reference and result fields needed for rental eligibility and audit history, not the raw Stripe selfie or ID image.
When information is no longer required, we delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it where reasonably practicable.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and whether a privacy law applies to Rent Me CT, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal data; request a list of third parties to which we disclosed your data; opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied request. Connecticut residents may have these rights under the Connecticut Data Privacy Act.
Submit a request through our contact page, by calling 860-558-6031, or by mail to 12 Holmes Circle, Farmington, CT. Tell us the right you want to exercise and how we can verify your identity. We may request information reasonably necessary to authenticate the request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Where the Connecticut Data Privacy Act applies, we aim to respond within 45 days, subject to a legally permitted extension. If we deny a request, our response will explain how to appeal. You may appeal by replying to our decision or using the same contact methods with “Privacy Appeal” in the request.
See Your Privacy Choices for opt-out details. We treat a recognized browser-based universal opt-out signal, including Global Privacy Control, as an opt-out of sale and targeted advertising where required. Because our reviewed site does not currently sell personal data or use targeted-advertising pixels, the signal confirms those categories remain off.

Rent Me CT does not offer a financial incentive for personal data and does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 18.
Children's Privacy
Our rental services are for adults who meet the stated driver-age requirements and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 through the website or portal. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal information so we can investigate and delete it where required.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted network connections, role-based access, database access controls, hosted payment and identity flows, logging, and restricted administrative functions. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur. If you believe your account or information is at risk, contact us immediately.
